Father Is Waiting

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” -Romans 8:29
As I am writing this article I am currently in the waiting room of a labor and delivery ward of my local hospital anxiously awaiting the arrival of my precious baby girl, Elena.
I can tell you that I already have a love for her that is different from any love I have for anyone else. I haven’t even met her yet, and I love her already!
Did you know that this is exactly how God feels about you? Just like my daughter will bear my image, and my likeness, you too bear your heavenly Father’s image and likeness, and He has waited for generations to see you live, breath, and enjoy life!
A good friend of mine pointed out to me many years ago that God spoke everything into existence. The giant moon in the night sky, the stars, the earth, and everything that is contained in the known and unknown universe. Seen and unseen. Except for one thing: you. You he fashioned Himself and made you in an awesome and wonderful way. You truly are His workmanship.
Psa 139:14 "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
God loved you before you were ever born (Jeremiah 1:5). He knew who you would be, and He knew the sacrifice He would have to make in order to purchase you back from the sin and spiritual deadness that you were born into.
Romans 5:15 "But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Mankind is made of three parts. We are a spirit, this is where your identity lies and your spirit is the very core of your being. It's who you are. We have a soul. This is your mind, will, and emotions. We all have a body that houses our soul, and our spirit. (1 Thess. 5:23)
Our ancestor, Adam, sinned and died spiritually, then physically. His very identity was death and sin. He was defined by His sin. Then, as a result of this, Adam's identity and spiritual death passed to every descendant he had. Every human on earth is spiritually stillborn. This is why Jesus needed to be born, die, and raise from the dead. He gives us His life.
The scripture says when we decide to receive the free gift of Jesus we are spiritually born again, and we look just like dad. Just like my daughter Elena will have my eyes, ears, and mouth (hopefully not), you have your Father's spiritual nature and looks. In other words, you look just like Dad! Your new nature is just like dad! You have been regened! You have new spiritual DNA and that is from your Heavenly Father.
2 Peter 1:4 "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."
If you haven't trusted in the finished work of His Son, just receive the free gift of once-for-all forgiveness through the death burial, and resurrection of Jesus. All you have to do is agree you need it and trust that Jesus' work is enough to have paid for your sin and to make you new! Receive the free gift of righteousness and forgiveness from Jesus.
He will then join himself to the very center of your being and you will be born again!
Father is waiting. He wants you to look just like Him. Not just on the outside, but on the inside too! It happens once, and you will never ever die. It's called eternal life, and it is free!
